Wojtek Memorial Trust Fund

The Wojtek Memorial Trust is a registered Scottish Charity and registered as a limited company. Its purpose is the advancement of education, arts, heritage and culture. This ambitious purpose will be achieved through the telling of the heroic story of Wojtek "the soldier bear" with his comrades in the 2nd Corps of the Polish Army during and after the Second World War.

The Wojtek Memorial Trust is planning to erect a bronze statue in tribute to Wojtek and the Polish soldiers in Edinburgh City Centre. Alongside these endeavours the trustees wish to promote education and instruction and international cultural links utilising all forms of media. Wojtek the Bear provides the inspiration.
